Xi’s Anti-Corruption Campaign and the Increasing Uncertainty of Chinese Politics:
A Framework of Analysis
Abstract: The article presents a framework of analyzing China’s recent anti-corruption campaign, which consists of three macro levels: leadership politics, elite politics, and state-society relations. Each level is further detailed into three sub-levels. It is argued that along with these levels and sub-levels there is a declining curve of impact of anti-corruption, as the general aftermath of the anti-corruption campaign is the increase of uncertainty in China’s political development.
