The Social Demography of China’s Muslims
Abstract:This paper examines the social demographic characteristics of China’s Muslim populations. They are more different from one another than similar on most demographic and socioeconomic dimensions. Even with the two largest Muslim groups, Hui and Uygur, the vast differences are very unlikely unite into a single entity. Therefore, the Muslim of China could never have the national and international impacts on Muslim elsewhere in the world.
